It’s a pretty sparse week in terms of new releases on DVD and Blu-ray, but fortunately we’ve got some interesting back catalogue stuff on Blu-ray to make up for it. With The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hitting stores this week (along with the four film complete collection), no one else dared to compete for shelf space with the exception of the Will Ferrell / Mark Wahlberg comedy Daddy’s Home. There are a handful of TV releases, however, including the second season of AMC’s Turn: Washington’s Spies and Freaks and Geeks: The Complete Series on Blu-ray. Other notable Blu-ray releases include Edward Yang’s A Brighter Summer Day, David Gordon Green’s Undertow, Neil Jordan’s Michael Collins starring Liam Neeson, and Roger Corman’s psychedelic cult classic The Trip starring Peter Fonda.
