New to Theatres This Weekend: The Divergent Series: Allegiant, The Bronze, Midnight Special

Yet another YA series finale is being spread out across two films as The Divergent Series: Allegiant hits theatres this weekend (the second part, retitled Ascendant, arrives next summer). This is essentially the only major new release to speak of, putting it in a head to head battle against the current box office champ, Disney’s Zootopia. Christian film Miracles from Heaven is also in wide release and the R-rated sports comedy The Bronze is playing on over 1000 screens as well. In select theatres, we also have Jeff Nichols’ sci-fi film Midnight Special along with Stephen Frears’ Lance Armstrong biopic The Program starring Ben Foster. What will you be watching this weekend?
