“In the wild west to fight the undead you have to resurrect ’90s boy bands.” If that’s not one of the most irresistible taglines you’ve ever read, I don’t know what is. On April 1st, Syfy will air a 2-hour original movie called Dead 7 about a group of gunslingers fighting a zombie plague. Believe it or not, those gunslingers are played by members of the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, 98 Degrees and O-Town. Nick Carter co-wrote the film and, in case it wasn’t obvious, yes it is produced by The Asylum. Part of me wants to believe that this is just an elaborate April Fool’s joke, but I suppose the joke will be on the people who actually sit down and watch this thing.
