We’ve got another batch of Oscar nominees hitting DVD and Blu-ray this week but if that’s not your bag we also have an R-rated comedy, a cannibal movie and a Razzie nominee to balance things out a bit. The Big Short, Carol and Brooklyn all came away mostly empty-handed last month but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be seen; meanwhile, the other major releases include the Tina Fey / Amy Poehler comedy Sisters, Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip. The latest Alex Gibney documentary Steve Jobs: Man in the Machine is also in stores along with the fifth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. New to Blu, we’ve got the Criterion re-issue of John Frankenheimer’s The Manchurian Candidate, ’80s action cult classic Invasion U.S.A. starring Chuck Norris and Bob Balaban’s 1993 horror comedy My Boyfriend’s Back.
