Back in December, when the first trailer for Richard Linklater’s next film Everybody Wants Some!! (yes, with two exclamation marks) hit the web, there seemed to be some concern that the movie featured too much low brow humour and looked visually bland. Now that the movie has premiered at SXSW, however, the early reviews seem to be just as effusive as always with some critics already calling it an early contender for best movie of the year. There may be some hyperbole in that statement, but today Paramount has just released a new red band trailer that goes a long way to showcasing the naturalistic, hangout vibe of the film and the obvious similarities to Dazed and Confused. There’s nothing wrong with a more straightforward comedy and at this point I think Linklater has more than earned our trust. Everybody Wants Some!! hits select theatres on April 1st; check out the new trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
