Vice Principals Trailer: A New HBO Series from Danny McBride and Jody Hill

If you were heartbroken to see the Kenny Powers saga finally come to an end back in 2013, you’ll be happy to hear that Eastbound & Down creators Danny McBride and Jody Hill have a new show coming to HBO later this year. It’s another dark half-hour comedy series called Vice Principals and it almost seems to examine what might have happened to Kenny Powers if he never returned to baseball. The show stars McBride and Walton Goggins as two high school vice principals who are locked in an “epic power struggle” to be principal. Vice Principals also co-stars Georgia King, Busy Philipps, Kimberly Hébert Gregory, Sheaun McKinney and Shea Whigham and it debuts on HBO this July.     Fun fact: a friend once overheard Walton Goggins on the phone refer to himself as the “blue collar Brad Pitt.”

    Or was that told on this show? I can’t remember where I heard that now, but I did hear it.

    Not that impressed with this trailer, but I’ll definitely be watching since I loved Eastbound & Down.
