Captain America: Civil War Trailer #2

civilwartrailer2

Believe it or not, the summer movie season isn’t far off and the movie that will officially kick things off this year will be Captain America: Civil War. Marvel has just released a new trailer for the movie, which really does look like another giant Avengers movie with the huge line-up of characters that are involved. The new trailer gives us a better look at Black Panther and our first look at Tom Holland as the new Spider-Man, but perhaps even more interesting is the fact that it also looks like this movie will follow Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in using scenes of massive destruction from previous films to motivate a superhero backlash. It’s a cool idea, but I’m still not sure that will be enough to justify Iron Man and Captain America pounding the crap out of each other. Captain America: Civil War hits theatres on May 6th; check out the new trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

Dont look too bad, shame they keep packing so many characters into these things. New Spidey looks a bit pink (and crappy CG)

  • Anthony

Was kind of hoping there wouldn’t be Spiderman in any trailers but at lwast it was minimal.

  • Jr

That is one hot three-point landing.

  • Flo Lieb

Yup, that CG Spider-Man still needs rendering. Lots and lots of rendering.

  • Simon

Seems like the black character doesn’t even survive through the trailer in this one.

  • I don’t think the Deadpool eyes really work on Spidey here. This all just feels so forced, it took how many movies to get this team together? All for squat.

  • ReelJunkie

I’m not digging the costume. It’s a jarring contrast with the grittiness of the rest of the film and the other costumes. Looks too cartoony. With that said I’m still extremely excited for the film.

Tennie Spidey in a full grown battle, and who worked on the CG for spidey, oh boy…..Well Marvel was gonne hit bottom, but this looks way way down …..

Why is a 200 million dollar movie shooting almost entirely in parking lots and abandoned airports? I expect this from no-budget youtube fan films, not from mega-productions like this. So drab and ugly

  • LordAwesome

Because Marvel hire TV directors now instead of real film directors and everything they do is now shot on crappy digital.

And also because audiences lap the shit up. The Avengers is the cheapest, worst looking $200 movie ever made but it gets 90% rt.com score and near universal audience love.

One reason could be that an Airport in Berlin is finsihed(more or much more less), but not yet active. So the Studio got a whole empty airport to play with, without any outside influcence. Also as long as people pay to view such TV Junk they will make them.

I just think that they hurried to get a shot of Spider-Man in the trailer, to get people buzzing, that they didn’t have enough time to fine tune the cgi. I’m hopeful that it’ll look better when the movie gets released… but I am digging the old school look overall. Hope to see more of the moveable eyes on the mask as well, reminds me of the cartoon versions I grew up with. :)
