4K has officially arrived! But even if we didn’t have a slew of UHD releases hitting stores this week, it would still be a busy week with a handful of Oscar contenders looking to capitalize on their nominations. Ryan Coogler’s Rocky spin-off Creed leads the way along with Room starring Brie Larson and The Danish Girl starring Eddie Redmayne. Other major releases include the holiday comedy The Night Before starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie, Legend starring Tom Hardy, and Don Verdean starring Sam Rockwell. On Blu-ray, we’ve got the cult classic Canadian comedy Strange Brew, and on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, look for Mad Max: Fury Road, The Martian, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Lego Movie and… a lot of other less exciting stuff.
