Another day, another micro-budget Blumhouse horror movie! In this case, however, The Darkness also happens to be the latest movie from Greg McLean, the Australian filmmaker who directed the killer croc movie Rogue and the controversial slasher flick Wolf Creek. That may or may not be a selling point for you, but the trailer ultimately seems to resemble a handful of previous Blumhouse flicks. The story revolves around a family who return home from a vacation at the Grand Canyon with their eccentric son haunted by angry Native American ghosts. Creepy handprints ensue. The Darkness stars Kevin Bacon, Radha Mitchell and Matt Walsh and it hits theatres on May 13th. Check out the first trailer after the jump and see what you think.
