Although Idris Elba remains a popular choice to play the next James Bond whenever Daniel Craig decides to move on, his age makes it somewhat unlikely that it will actually happen. In the meantime, however, we have another movie coming out this year that might be the next best thing. Bastille Day is an action-thriller directed by James Watkins (The Woman in Black) and it stars Elba as a C.I.A. agent who doesn’t like to play by the rules. He is tasked with tracking down a pickpocket in Paris (played by Game of Thrones star Richard Madden) who has stolen the wrong bag, but they soon find themselves on the trail of corruption with targets on their backs. Bastille Day hits theatres in the U.K. on April 22nd; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
