Kindergarten Cop 2 Trailer Starring Dolph Lundgren

kindergartencop2

26 years after Arnold Schwarzenegger was handed the role of a lifetime as Detective John Kimble in Ivan Reitman’s Kindergarten Cop, fellow action star Dolph Lundgren is getting a chance to show off his own previously untapped comedic potential in the sequel. That’s right, we’ve known for a while now that Kindergarten Cop 2 was a real thing that was actually happening, but now this week the official trailer has finally arrived. Directed by long-time DTV veteran Don Michael Paul (Jarhead 2: Field of Fire, Tremors 5: Bloodlines), the movie finds Lundgren playing an undercover FBI agent who is hilariously at odds with the politically correct school environment. We can only hope this will serve up some choice quotes for all those people trying to put together Dolph Lundgren soundboards out there. Kindergarten Cop 2 hits DVD, Blu-ray and Digital HD on May 17th; check out the trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

I figured this post existed solely to exhibit that trademark Dwyer snark, but lo: nothing of the sort. I’m confused.

    C’est terrible.

Sean, you need to force this through as a review of the week.

There are a lot of sequels out there, this could be a sleeper hit just because the director Don Michael Paul has done some great work with previous sequels like Jarhead 2 and Tremors 5. With everyone commenting that Arnold should have been in this one, it is the fact he could have thought of it long ago, not at this release. Thanks to Universal for releasing this sequel to a classic. Not only that but this is a film that I can enjoy with my grand kids without even having to preview it before they watch it. Just saying looks can be deceiving.
