The recent resurgence of the spy genre on screen has led to a new wave of adaptations of John Le Carré’s work including Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and A Most Wanted Man. Now this year Le Carré fans have a few more adaptations to look forward to including The Night Manager, a 6-part mini-series co-produced the BBC and AMC, and Our Kind of Traitor, a long-delayed thriller starring Ewan McGregor, Damian Lewis, Naomie Harris and Stellan Skarsgard. Directed by Susanna White (Nanny McPhee Returns, Generation Kill) from a screenplay by Hossein Amini (Drive), the plot revolves around a British couple vacationing in Marrakech who get caught up in a Russian money launderer’s plans to defect. Our Kind of Traitor hits theatres in the U.K. on May 6th and in North America sometime this summer; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
