10 Cloverfield Lane Trailer

10cloverfieldlane

Surprise! Fans who have been begging for a Cloverfield sequel will be excited to learn that J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot have been working on one all along right under our noses. A surprise trailer for a previously unannounced movie called 10 Cloverfield Lane debuted last night at screenings of Michael Bay’s 13 Hours. This has since been confirmed to be the film previously known as Valencia, directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Portal: No Escape) and starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher Jr. The trailer itself has a bit of a Lost feel and it is unclear how exactly it ties into the previous Cloverfield film, but this is pretty exciting news nonetheless. All hail the mystery box! 10 Cloverfield Lane hits theatres on March 11th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.

Cloverfield was a lame, shitty movie with a lame, shitty monster and lame, shitty characters, but it was still a pleasant surprise seeing this in front of the Michael Bay’s 13 Hours.

Imagine: Frankie, a dark theater, full, loud sound, no CC, terrified Roman in the next seat. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Can’t wait to chow down on another beautiful Abrams mystery box. I’m wondering if maybe this is more of a spiritual successor to clover field rather than a direct sequel. Either way I loved the first movie a lot more than most people did and am looking forward to this.

Also this is probably the closest thing we will ever get in films of the same day as announcement release of the sega Saturn.

Now THAT is a movie trailer. Gives away a few hints as to what it could be about without ruining anything but still manages to make me want to get see it. John Goodman…when will that glorious man win an oscar. And great song choice!

Love Mary Elizabeth Winstead she is one fine lady…as for the sequel yeah maybe a matinee halfie…the first movie never did anything for me as most JJ creations usually do.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is incredible! Such a talent!!
Sadly the FJ crew is not hard for her as they usually tend to prefer bland pin-up bimbos like Daddario.
