We didn’t hear much from Zach Galifianakis in 2015, mainly because his upcoming movie Masterminds was delayed due to Relativity Media’s financial woes. However, this month he has a brand new comedy series debuting on FX and it looks about as close as you can get to an unfiltered version of Zach Galifianakis on screen. Baskets is executive produced by Zach Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and Jonathan Krisel (Portlandia, Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), and it stars Galifianakis as a man named Chip Baskets who is following his lifelong dream of becoming a professional clown. Overall it looks dark, strange and surreal, and as far as I can tell there is nothing on TV like it right now. Baskets premieres on FX on Jan. 21st; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
