With the Christmas season officially behind us you might expect the DVD and Blu-ray releases to slow down a bit, but there is still a fair amount of stuff hitting stores this week. When combined with the new titles that came out last week, there is a lot to consider. The biggest titles include Denis Villeneuve’s intense thriller Sicario, Robert Zemeckis’ 3D biopic The Walk and M. Night Shyamalan’s creepy and clever horror film The Visit. Genre fans will also want to look into the gruesome western Bone Tomahawk, Eli Roth’s cannibal flick The Green Inferno along with the horror comedy Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. On the small screen we have the divisive second season of HBO’s True Detective and new on Blu-ray we have Ken Russell’s Valentino, the Fantomas 5-film collection, Toshiya Fujita’s Lady Snowblood and its sequel, and a couple of Robert Wise films.
