Last month we learned that the new Twin Peaks limited series would not be arriving on Showtime until 2017, but the good news is that David Lynch is back on board to direct and it will now span 18 episodes as opposed to just 9. Production is officially underway and this week Showtime has released a short teaser trailer that offers some familiar sights along with a hint of something strange and sinister underneat. Most of the original cast is returning but they will also be joined by some newcomers including Jennifer Jason Leigh, Robert Knepper, Balthazar Getty and Amanda Seyfried. Twin Peaks will premiere in 2017; check out the teaser after the jump and see what you think.
