With Tina Fey’s latest film Sisters about to hit theatres and get completely trounced by Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the first trailer for her next film Whiskey Tango Foxtrot has also arrived online. This is something a little different for Tina Fey as the movie finds her playing real-life war correspondent Kim Barker in an adaptation of her memoir The Taliban Shuffle. It is a comedic look at life in Afghanistan and Pakistan throughout the 2000s while the U.S. military remained on the hunt for Osama bin Laden. These kinds of movies can sometimes come off as self-important, but this one is directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy, Stupid, Love) and it looks quite promising if you ask me. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot co-stars Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Billy Bob Thornton and Alfred Molina and it hits theatres on March 7th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
