Pascal Laugier’s 2008 film Martyrs is held in high regard by many horror fans, one of a handful of brutal, uncompromising French horror flicks released in the 2000s along with High Tension, Ils and Inside. Like many foreign genre films, it has been lined up for a U.S. remake for years, much to the dismay of those same fans. Now this week a trailer has popped up online, proving that a release is imminent. Directed by Kevin and Michael Goetz (Scenic Route), the Martyrs remake stars Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) and Bailey Noble (True Blood) and hits select theatres and digital HD on Jan. 22nd.
