Here’s the first trailer for the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them starring Eddie Redmayne. Fair warning: this is actually billed as an “announcement trailer” so it’s a little light on footage, but it does feature something more than just a spinning logo. I continue to be intrigued by the fact that the story takes place in New York as opposed to the self-contained world of Hogwarts although it does seem to be lacking a certain sense of wonder and whimsy so far. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theatres on Nov. 18th; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
