First Look at James Franco as Tommy Wiseau in The Disaster Artist

Filming is now officially underway for James Franco’s next project as a director, although unlike some of his previous art house efforts, this is actually a comedy that finds him partnering with his buddy Seth Rogen. Based on the book by Tom Bissell, The Disaster Artist is a bizarre tale about the making of the cult classic film The Room. Franco plays Tommy Wiseau, the enigmatic auteur behind this trashy masterpiece, while his brother Dave and Josh Hutcherson play Wiseau’s co-stars Greg Sestero and Philip Haldiman.

THR reports that Kate Upton, Ari Graynor, Jacki Weaver, Hannibal Buress and Andrew Santino have also joined the cast along with Zac Efron, who will apparently cameo as a drug dealer. Franco posted the first photo of himself and his brother in character earlier today and it looks pretty spot on. Are you looking forward to The Disaster Artist?     I love how Franko’s Johnny looks! Although im not sure about Dave’s Mark. He supose to be taller than Johnny. Somehow i feel that it matters. Oh well, very looking forward for this one.
