Iron Man 3 may have put Shane Black back in the blockbuster game, but the truth is that the kinds of blockbusters he used to make are no longer particularly viable in Hollywood. Still, that hasn’t stopped him from going out and putting together another R-rated buddy action-comedy that seems to pick up right where he left off with Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. The Nice Guys stars Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling as a pair of hard-nosed private investigators who get pulled into a mystery surrounding the death of a porn star in 1970s Los Angeles. It looks to be both funny and gritty and the pairing of Crowe and Gosling seems particularly inspired. The Nice Guys hits theatres on May 20th; check out the red band trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
