Sight & Sound and Cahiers Du Cinema’s Top 10 Films of 2015

With December just a few days away, film critics are starting to prepare their Best of 2015 lists. Once again this year two very respected and long-running film journals are first out of the gates with their own Top 10 lists: France’s Cahiers du Cinema and the British Film Institute’s Sight & Sound magazine. Because they are based in Europe, they have included some movies that are not yet out in the U.S. and also some movies that came out here last year (such as P.T. Anderson’s Inherent Vice). However, both did also highlight Mad Max: Fury Road as well as Miguel Gomes’ three-part epic Arabian Nights. BFI’s list is actually a top 20 and features a few more mainstream titles such as Inside Out, It Follows and Amy. Do you agree with their choices? Check out both top 10 lists after the jump and see what you think.
