Netflix has House of Cards and Orange is the New Black while Amazon has Transparent and The Man in the High Castle, but so far Hulu has yet to find that breakout original series that successfully permeates pop culture. Granted, they did renew The Mindy Project and they’ve had a few other small hits, but their upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s 11.22.63 could be the big one they’re looking for. Executive produced by J.J. Abrams, the 8-episode limited series stars James Franco as a school teacher sent back in time to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. 11.22.63 debuts on Feb. 15th, 2016; check out the first teaser trailer after the jump and see what you think.

I’m super excited for this project. Fingers crossed that it will be of high quality. I’ve just started reading Stephen King’s classic books so this will supplement my fandom of his work nicely.

This book is actually one of my faves by King. Really fun read. You just need to turn off the time travel continuity side of your brain frequently.
