If you’re one of the many disciples of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s Preacher, you are no doubt itching to see whether producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will do this dark and violent comic book series justice. Originally published by DC’s Vertigo imprint between 1995 and 2000, the story revolves around a small-town Texas preacher named Jesse (played by Dominic Cooper) who is possessed by a supernatural being that gives him the power of the word of God. Together with his girlfriend Tulip and a hard-drinking Irish vampire named Cassidy, they set off across Texas in search of God, who has abandoned heaven altogether. AMC debuted the first trailer during The Walking Dead last night and now you can watch it right here.
