When the first photos of Jared Leto as The Joker surfaced online earlier this year, the internet melted down as fans were mostly shocked and appalled at the extreme new look. Although there was an attempt at damage control with some people insisting that the tattoos would not actually appear in the movie, it is now pretty clear that this is not the case. A few months later, the first Suicide Squad trailer was fairly well-received, indicating that perhaps people are slowly warming up to this slightly tweaked vision of the DC Universe.

Now this week Empire Magazine has some new photos from David Ayer’s Suicide Squad with both The Joker and Enchantress appearing on the cover. Although the jury still seems to be out on this, I guess you have to give Jared Leto credit for going all in with his performance (Will Smith claims he never actually met Jared Leto on set, only The Joker).
