The internet is buzzing this week in anticipation of another wave of hype for the soon-to-be-released Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The movie is now just two months away and we’ve been hearing reports that tickets are about to go on sale within the next few days. To help promote this fact, there will be a brand new trailer and poster released very soon. If you’re one of those people who needs to be there on opening night, hit the jump to find out how you can do that.
According to various sources, pre-orders for Star Wars: The Force Awakens tickets will open up as of 8:30 PM ET on Monday, October 19th. The very first screenings of the movie will be at 7pm on December 17th but you will be able to order advance tickets all the way through to Jan. 3rd. Some theatres will also be offering Star Wars marathons of all the movies, which will start sometime on Dec. 17th but the new movie will not screen before 7 pm.
The official Disney announcement about the pre-orders will happen on Sun. Oct. 18th at Noon and will likely be accompanied by the release of a brand new poster (which will include the official logo). The following day, Mon. Oct. 19th, is when the new trailer will drop at approximately 8 pm EST. It is also expected to air at halftime during Monday Night Football on ESPN.
