Just a few days after learning that Seth Grahame-Smith will write and direct The Flash movie for Warner Brothers, the first trailer for an adaptation of his novel Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has arrived online. Grahame-Smith didn’t write or direct this one himself, however; instead it is being handled by Burr Steers (Igby Goes Down, Charlie St. Cloud). The novel is (as you can probably guess) a mash-up of the Jane Austen classic with zombies added to the mix. Whether or not this premise can carry an entire film remains to be seen, but here’s to hoping it’s better than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies stars Lily James, Lena Headey, Matt Smith, Jack Huston and Sam Riley and it hits theatres on Feb. 5th.
