After failing to hit its summer release date, Joe Wright’s Pan finally arrives in theatres this weekend to very little fanfare. Will Hugh Jackman’s involvement be enough to sell audiences on another version of a well-worn tale? The only other new movie in wide release is Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk, which is expanding after opening exclusively in IMAX theatres similar to Everest. In limited release, we also have Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs, which is playing in New York and L.A. only, along with Stephen Daldry’s Trash and the single shot thriller Victoria.
