It’s a pretty packed week for DVD and Blu-ray releases, although the emphasis is definitely on newer titles as opposed to back catalogue stuff. The Avengers: Age of Ultron is the big one but you’ll have to wait until Friday to pop on that. Other major releases include Spy starring Melissa McCarthy, the Poltergeist remake starring Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt, and the Entourage movie. Some noteworthy indie films include the Kevin Bacon thriller Cop Car, French crime drama The Connection starring Jean Dujardin, and Peter Strickland’s erotic drama The Duke of Burgundy plus Mark Hartley’s Cannon Films doc Electric Boogaloo (which is only available on DVD). On the small screen, we’ve got the German spy mini-series Deutschland 73, and on Blu-ray, John Carpenter’s Christine finally arrives in a non-limited edition. What will you be picking up this week?
