Following up on some new photos that were released yesterday, 20th Century Fox has also issued a brand new trailer for Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s epic western revenge thriller The Revenant. By now most people have probably heard the controversy over the film’s grueling production, much of which took place in frigid Alberta, Canada and strictly by natural light. That being said, the hardships endured by the cast and crew seem to be paying off as the visuals are nothing short of staggering. The new trailer also reveals a bit more of the plot, emphasizing the revenge element. The Revenant stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Will Poulter and Domhnall Gleeson and it hits select theatres on Dec. 25th before going wide on Jan. 8th.
