Hardcore Trailer: An Insane First-Person Action Movie Produced by Timur Bekmambetov

I was fortunate enough to be at the world premiere of Ilya Naishuller’s Hardcore this past weekend at TIFF, and it just might have been the most fun I’ve ever had at a Midnight Madness screening. That being said, it’s an entire movie shot in a first-person perspective, and it feels a lot more like an amusement park ride than a movie. Produced by Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch, Wanted), it is extremely violent, extremely silly, and it benefits greatly from multiple supporting performances by Sharlto Copley (District 9). If you’re a fan of the Crank movies, you’ll probably want to give this one a look. Hardcore does not yet have a distribution or a release date, but you can check out the first trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.
