It’s not very often that feature-length animated movies are aimed at a mature audience, mostly because it just isn’t financially feasible, but there are a few currently on the horizon including Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Sausage Party and the long-rumoured Heavy Metal reboot. Before either of those arrive, however, we are getting a stop-motion animated film from the studio responsible for Robot Chicken, BoJack Horseman and TripTank. Directed by Tom Gianas (Human Giant) and Ross Shuman (Moral Orel), the movie is called Hell & Back and it revolves around two best friends who accidentally get dragged to hell.

With an all-star comedy voice cast that includes T.J. Miller, Nick Swardson, Mila Kunis, Bob Odenkirk, Michael Pena, Danny McBride, Rob Riggle, Paul Scheer, Jennifer Coolidge, Kumail Nanjiani, David Koechner and Susan Sarandon, it looks like there may be some laughs to be had if you can get past the lo-fi look. Hell & Back hits theatres on Oct. 2nd; check out the trailer after the jump and see what you think.
