New to Theatres This Weekend: Straight Outta Compton, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Mistress America

We’ve got two new movies in wide release this weekend going up against returning box office champ Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and it’s looking like the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton is going to be the movie to beat. Despite the fact that it is rated R, the early numbers look very impressive and reviews have been solid. Guy Ritchie’s period spy movie The Man from U.N.C.L.E., meanwhile, has less going for it but will be relying on the star power of Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer to sell it. In select theatres, look for Noah Baumbach’s latest collaboration with Greta Gerwig, Mistress America, as well as the indie comedy People Places Things starring Jemaine Clement and coming of age drama Ten Thousand Saints starring Ethan Hawke and Asa Butterfield.
