The X-Files Event Series Teaser Trailer

I know everyone is dying to see David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson back in action as Mulder and Scully, and last night during Wayward Pines, Fox aired the very first teaser trailer for their upcoming X-Files event series. Unfortunately, it’s pretty short… like, blink and you might miss it, short. In addition to Mulder and Scully, the new episodes will feature the return of Skinner and the Smoking Man along with new characters played by Joel McHale (Community) and Annet Mahendru (The Americans). The X-Files will return on Sunday Jan. 24th following the NFC Championship Game; check out the first teaser after the jump and start planning your marathon of the first 9 seasons now.

    I for one am looking forward to this! And though I love Duchovny and Anderson as Scully and Mulder ( I mean they’ll always be Scully and Mulder), I wouldn’t mind seeing a reboot with younger actors and newer TV technology…of course Carter would have to helm the show though.

    When will they finally bring out the whole series on Bluray? Unbelievable how long it’s taking and now is probably the best time, no?

    I would assume they will be announcing something for this holiday season. But in the meantime, some of the episodes on Netflix are apparently in HD.
