The Walk Trailer #2

thewalktrailer2

Here’s the full trailer for Robert Zemeckis’ upcoming film The Walk, based on the amazing true story of Philippe Petit and his 1974 attempt to walk between the twin towers of the World Trade Center on a tightrope. Joseph Gordon-Levitt steps into the role of Petit with the help of an off-putting wig and contact lenses, but at least his French accent sounds decent. The trailer gets more into the preparation and training required for the stunt as well as the dynamics of the team that helps him accomplish it. Unfortunately, the one thing we still can’t see in the trailer is the 3D, which is probably the biggest selling point of the film. What do you think, will this be a worthy companion piece to the Oscar-winning documentary Man on Wire? The Walk hits theatres on Oct. 2nd; check out the new trailer after the jump and let us know what you think.

    Looks faker than Megan Fox.

I will not give my money to this movie. I’ll rewatch Man on Wire instead.

She’s looks pretty good in TMNT2 though

  • Jonny Ashley

Even weirder that the main character of this film is a CG World Trade Center

  • Matt the Kiwi

It’s so hard to tell whether this premise can sustain a full movie but like Sean says – it seems like the only way it’ll be any good is in 3D on a big screen so I’d be nervous about missing this one in the theatres. I am a Bob Zemeckis fan so that might get me in the seat.

  • Deven Science

I don’t get the hate. Yes, Man on Wire was an amazing documentary, but I see that this could be a good film, as well. I’ll see it in theaters.

  • ColinZeal

Well, if you don’t know history well enough, it needs to be CG…

I saw the first trailer before Mad Max and it was 3D. The shot of him looking below at the street was either exhilarating or terrifying depending on your feeling on heights.
