It’s shaping up to be another slow summer weekend at the multiplex as the Dwayne Johnson disaster film San Andreas leads a somewhat underwhelming list of new releases. That being said, if even a fraction of the insane success of the Fast & Furious franchise carries over into this movie, it could be a surprise hit. The only other new movie in wide release is Cameron Crowe’s latest romantic comedy Aloha starring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, which has some big names but little to no buzz. Even the movies hitting select theatres are relatively thin with Andrew Bujalski’s Results starring Guy Pearce being a potential highlight. What will you be watching this weekend?
