Didn’t imagine Matt Damon as the character…kinda wanted a more wise ass type of guy to play the role since there was so much humor between the Mark Whatney and Nasa.. I imagined maybe Gerard Butler, or Tom Hardy or Nathan Fillion or even JGL (But he might be too young though to play Whatney).

Not quite sure if I liked the Production design so far but we’ll see how it pans out on scree,

Hope Ridley can pull this off. His last few movies, Prometheus, Robin Hood, The Cuonselor, Gods and Kings, Kingdom of heaven have not been very good. He’s really been missing the mark lately and I hope he doesn’t miss on this.

I love Ridley alone for giving us Alien, Blade Runner and Thelma and Louise and really think he is definitely one of our greatest directors, but like I said disappointed of late.

Can’t wait to see what Ridley Scott does with the HAB and rovers etc visually. Judging by Alien and Prometheus it should be good. Love Matt Damon, think he’ll be great but when I was reading it I kept thinking of Joshua Jackson as Mark Watney.
