This Week on DVD and Blu-ray: Selma, Fifty Shades of Grey, Goodfellas: 25th Anniversary Edition

There are plenty of decent titles hitting DVD and Blu-ray this week whether you’re looking to catch up on a few big theatrical releases, check out some indie flicks or just upgrade some classics on Baby Blu. Major studio releases include Ava DuVernay’s civil rights film Selma, the less than titillating Fifty Shades of Grey (unrated though!) and the poorly received December horror flick The Pyramid. Some worthwhile smaller films hitting stores include the submarine thriller Black Sea starring Jude Law, Mike Leigh’s Mr. Turner starring Timothy Spall and Ryan Gosling’s surreal drama Lost River. If that’s not enough, we also have a plethora of interesting Blu-ray re-releases including a 25th Anniversary Edition of Martin Scorsese’s Goodfellas, a Scream Factory re-issue of the original Mad Max and a handful of early Spielberg movies that were previously only available as part of the Steven Spielberg Director’s Collection. What will you be picking up this week? Check out the full list of new releases after the jump.
