Although we’ll have to wait a couple more years to see any of the sequels or spin-offs from The Lego Movie, there is at least one Lego-related movie hitting theatres later this year. A Lego Brickumentary (formerly titled Beyond the Brick) is a documentary that explores the history of the Danish toy and the pop culture phenomenon it has created. Directed by Kief Davidson and Daniel Junge (who both received Oscar nominations for their previous documentary shorts) and narrated by Jason Bateman, it looks appropriately colourful and uses some animated segments to help tell the story. Radius-TWC acquired the film after it premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival last year and will bring it to select theatres and VOD on July 31st.
