It’s mostly slim pickings in stores this week with the only major new release being the perfunctory Taken 3. However, there are a few indie flicks that might be worth a look including Cake starring Jennifer Aniston, the Iranian horror flick A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, and the action thriller Everly starring Salma Hayek. Meanwhile, we’ve also got an interesting assortment of ’80s genre films arriving on Blu-ray this week including a new Collector’s Edition of John Carpenter’s Escape from New York, double features of Ghoulies 1 and 2 and Breakin’ 1 and 2, plus Firewalker starring Chuck Norris and Lou Gossett Jr. and The Wicked Lady starring Faye Dunaway.
