A younger audience wants to see people their age represented more than they want to see 35 year old adults. Although it could be argued that a lot of 35 year olds go to these sorts of movies, and since it’s an origin story they are supposed to be “younger” whatever that means.

But yea, social relevance and demographics generally trumps faithfulness to the source material. Changing out gender, race, and age is seen as the financially and ethically right thing to do.

These guys are in their their mid to late twenties and early thirties but the movie makes them look like college kids for some reason…Is their some reason why Fox can’t seem to get the FF right???
