Although we were supposed to be getting a new Resident Evil movie sometime this year, production on the sixth film was delayed because Milla Jovovich was surprised to learn she was having another baby. If you are fan, however, you might take solace in the fact that we are still getting a new action film starring Jovovich even though it is a VOD release. Survivor is directed by long-time Wachowski collaborator James McTeigue (V for Vendetta, Ninja Assassin) and it revolves around a State Department employee who is framed for crimes she didn’t commit and forced to go on the run in London. The plot seems pretty generic, but the main draw aside from Milla Jovovich is Pierce Brosnan taking on a villain role as an assassin hired to kill her.
