New to Theatres This Weekend: Get Hard, Home, It Follows

moviesgethard

Two comedy superstars team up this weekend for the first big comedy of the year, Get Hard, which should top the box office without too much trouble. Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart do have some competition from DreamWorks Animation, however; they are hoping that their latest film Home will make up for some of their recent disappointments. The indie horror flick It Follows also expands nationwide in the U.S. this weekend following a great turnout and strong buzz from a limited release. In select theatres, we also have Noah Baumbach’s latest film While We’re Young starring Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts, plus Serena starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence and the Cannes winner White God. What will you be watching this weekend?

Please tell me that you’re throwing Frankie a bone this week and reviewing Get Hard… it’s cool if you also review It Follows, but I think it’s time to give a shit comedy a chance.

    Prescribing Frank: “It Follows”

It Follows was great. And it’s loud! Can’t wait for the review.

Agree about It Follows, thought it was outstanding. It would seem to be a film Jay would cream a little over with its synth-y score and great camerawork. I got a little Carpenter vibe off of it.
