I can definitely see that (TWEWY was not for me either) but I figured I'd throw it out there just in case.

I've been wracking my brain thinking about other non-fantasy RPGs (or Adventure games w/ modern settings & RPG elements) and I've come up with a few more:

- Parasite Eve (late 90s)
- Alpha Protocol (now)
- Shadow Hearts (early 20th century)
- Shenmue (mid 80s)
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (mid 00s)
- The Secret World (now; MMO)

Comments and questions...

CUT SCENES - I usually stick with them in most games. But sometimes later on in the game if I realize they're not adding much to the experience and/or they are too damn long, I'll skip them (Battlefield 4 pissed me off with some of those cut scenes). I legitimately love every cut scene in GTA V though.

PS NOW - Somewhat disagree with Huck. True the library isn't that great, but it was fun to go back to a lot of those PS3 games that I never got around to and play with them a bit. Also, the rental system is amazing. I generally don't like to shell out sixty bucks for a game, so when I can pay 10 or 15 dollars for something like Uncharted 3 and play it for 30 days, that's awesome. Or if I have a buddy over, we can rent a game for 4 hours for just a couple bucks; more than worth it.

MORDOR - I actually like the concept of the tiered enemies, but it got to the point where it didn't make much sense or even matter over time. The button mashing, smooth animation fighting/violence is where this game excels. I can play for hours just enticing hordes of enemies and trying to fight them all off for as long as possible.

MONUMENT VALLEY - great visuals and audio. Gameplay was far too easy. It was awesome, but too short and not really that much fun for the money. If you wanna pay for some cool level design though, this is your game.

MY TOP 5 -
5) Swapper. Awesome concept and cool visuals (all backdrops apparently made with hand made clay). The philosophical dialogue seemed pointless though.
4) Infamous Second Light - So I actually enjoyed this free PSN game more than Second Son. Love the neon powers and the battle arena.
3) Resogun - Way better than it has any right to be. A bit confusing at first, but once I understood what was going on, it's replayable as all hell. Love the ship editor/creator as well.
2) Super Mario 3D World - this was probably a 2013 game, but whatever. It's fantasic. The level design is great yet they still stick to their roots with sound effects, enemies and bricks and tubes. Brilliant. My one gripe is that it's a bit too easy.
1) GTA V (remastered) - Very likely my pick for greatest video game of all time. The details and amount of stuff to do and see in this game (and it's all interesting) is truly staggering. I'll play this game until the day I die.

WORST:
- HALO MC Collection. Totally broken and I am furious with 343 on this one. Though the HALO 5 beta was amazing!!
- DESTINY. Looks great, but once you've done everything it's the same exact thing over and over and over and over and over and over. ZZzzzzz. You can't do the harder dungeon strikes unless you and six friends (who are also high levels) can all find the time to be on at the same time since there's no match-making. The online team vs stuff is awful. I truly hate this game.

MARIO KART - Really wanna play this but won't get much opportunity to play with friends. Is the single player stuff still as great as everyone says? And I assume there is online match-making?

Great show guys!
