After becoming known for crafting visually rich fantasy films like The Cell, The Fall and Immortals, for the first time Tarsem Singh is switching genres to try his hand at science-fiction. Written by David and Alex Pastor (Carriers), Self/less takes place in the near future where science can transfer the consciousness of someone with health issues into a brand new body. Ben Kingsley plays a wealthy man dying of cancer, who takes over the body of Ryan Reynolds… not too shabby. Everything seems amazing for a while, but then some unforeseen side effects bubble to the surface.
