It’s pretty obvious that Netflix is really stepping up their commitment to original content because lately it feels like every week we are getting a trailer for a new Netflix Original Series. This week we have a teaser trailer for another partnership between Netflix and a big name director, although in this case the show is still at least a year away. The Get Down is a 13-episode musical drama from Baz Luhrmann (The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge) that focuses on 1970s New York and how a broken down city eventually gave birth to hip-hop, punk and disco. Luhrmann will serve as executive producer in addition to directing the first two episodes and the season finale. The Get Down will premiere exclusively on Netflix in all territories in 2016; check out the first teaser trailer after the jump and see what you think.
