It’s no secret that there has been a resurgence of interest in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic British detective Sherlock Holmes as of late, thanks in large part to Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes and the BBC series Sherlock. But believe it or not, there are still more unique adaptations continuing to surface… adaptations like Mr. Holmes. Directed by Bill Condon (Dreamgirls, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Parts 1 and 2), this movie imagines Sherlock at the end of his illustrious career taking on one last case with the help of a young boy. The movie stars Ian McKellen and recently premiered at the Berlin Film Festival where it was acquired by Miramax. Mr. Holmes hits theatres sometime this summer; check out the first clip after the jump and see what you think.
