New on Netflix: Chef, The Town That Dreaded Sundown, Easy Money

As per usual, the last week of the month is pretty slow for new additions on Netflix Instant, but there are still a few noteworthy titles here. In particular, Jon Favreau’s Chef is available in the U.S. along with The Town That Dreaded Sundown remake / sequel, the acclaimed Chilean film Gloria and Julie Taymor’s Frida starring Salma Hayek. In Canada, we are getting the first season of a handful of recent TV shows including Bates Motel, The Mindy Project and Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey plus Daniel Espinosa’s Swedish crime drama Easy Money, and most importantly, all of the Air Bud and Most Valuable Primate films.     I’m confused. Was Cosmos briefly taken off Netflix Canada? I could’ve sworn I finished up watching Season 1 only a couple months ago? In fact, most of those look like re-subscriptions. Anyways, Air Bud, MVP? talk about another winning month for Canucks…

    Yeah I think there were a lot of TV shows renewed in Canada. Sometimes it’s hard to tell because it doesn’t say when it was initially added.

    Was excited to see Easy Money until I read it isn’t the classic Rodney Dangerfield opus.
    And what’s with all the shitty family animal comedies? Was there a sale on the licensing?
