New on Netflix: The Interview, Stonehearst Asylum, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

theinterviewnetflix

Less than 30 days after it was released in select theatres and various VOD platforms, the controversial Seth Rogen / James Franco comedy The Interview arrives on Netflix today. Unfortunately, there aren’t too many other noteworthy titles to recommend this week, whether you’re in the U.S. or Canada. American viewers also get access to the original Swedish version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Brad Anderson’s latest genre flick Stonehearst Asylum starring Kate Beckinsale and Jim Sturgess. New additions north of the border include the YA fantasy flick Beautiful Creatures, Paul W.S. Anderson’s The Three Musketeers and low budget female action flick Mercenaries starring Zoe Bell, Kristanna Loken, and Vivica A. Fox. Will you be watching anything on Netflix this week? Check out the full list of new additions after the jump.

All three of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo films were available in the US at one time, but at some point, they dropped them. So, this is more like bringing this one back, rather than giving us something new.
