Although the next James Wan film to hit theatres will be Furious 7 in April, the Insidious and Saw director will also have a new horror flick coming later this year even though he is not helming it himself. Demonic looks to be a fairly rote haunted house story directed by Will Canon (Brotherhood) from a script co-written by Wan. Frank Grillo and Maria Bello play a detective and psychologist who are investigating the death of five college students who died while performing a seance. It’s not a found footage film per se, but a handheld camera does come into play along with the usual night vision trickery… not to mention potentially the best use of floating blood since Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.
